Hubert Hurkacz – Zizou Bergs

Recent form

Swiss Indoors Basel 2026, ATP 500 in Basel, men's singles, first round: Hubert Hurkacz versus Zizou Bergs. The tournament runs from 24 October to 1 November.

The surface is probably indoor hard, without explicit confirmation in the official content consulted. The expected format is best of three sets, but this direct confirmation was not found.

Hurkacz entered as the No. 10 seed after Davidovich Fokina withdrew due to illness. Verifiable recent opposition is limited: Hurkacz defeated Bergs in January, and Bergs subsequently defeated Alcaraz in Shanghai.

Head-to-head

On 20 January 2026 at the Australian Open, Hubert Hurkacz defeated Zizou Bergs 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-3, in a match completed in four sets. This previous meeting confirms Hurkacz's ability to defeat Bergs, but it took place on a different surface and under different conditions; it is therefore insufficient to establish a current advantage in Basel.

No other recent head-to-head meeting is documented here.
